Turtle Rescue

This is a mystery print we found along the beach early in the morning...wonder what it could be?

Monday afternoon we headed down to top sail beach to see the sea turtle rescue site. I have to say we almost did not make it, when we woke up Monday morning it was down pouring. Being that we had the dog booked for the night at the kennel and the camping gear packed, we decided to brave it. Yes it rained the entire drive and sporadically when we got there.

The turtles are very interesting, Abbie has had an interest in them for a few years, they nest along the shores of North Carolina beaches where we camp.

We did get our tent up that evening and thankfully it stayed dry. However a few of our sleeping essentials did get wet and lucky us we had a dryer in the camp ground. Tuesday morning was beautiful and we spent the entire day on the beach. The waves were perfect for the boogie board and Abbie had me laughing about how fun it is to ride the waves.
