Weekend at the Beach

Camping

Just a little news for some of you....June 10th was my last day of work and the girls finished school on the 11th. I have decided to go back to school this Fall and with my job deciding to rotate our shifts, the cost of the summer program and Tim being gone I just decided I would resine my position and stay home with the girls for the summer.

So we dicided to take our first weekend trip to the beach, We packed up our tent and beach wear, invited our good friends(who's Dad is with our Dad) and had a girls camping trip. Everything went well and we had a wonderful time!

Spring Piano Recital

This is out in the public Hayley...
and this is at home Hayley =)

Hayley had a little piano recital, she played Big Ben Waltz, and a Duet with her teacher of Jesus Loves Me. Unfortunately, my batteries ran dead and we did not capture it all. To my surprise Hayley was willing to play Jesus Loves Me at church the following Sunday. For being so quiet she does well on stage.

Huge Swim Meet!

Abbie participated in the National Black Heritage Swim Championship meet in Cary North Carolina. Lots of kids swimming...she swam two days in all strokes and dropped her time in everything. Way to go Abbie!

Cullen Jones the Olympic Gold Medalist autographed Abbie's heat winner cap.

Spring ice show

So most of you know Hayley is the child who never talks to anyone...she has this shy thing down pat. I've honestly decided it's all an act that she plays the part of very well. Anyways, Hayley performed in the spring ice skating show as Annie to the music The Sun will come out Tomorrow. So, we tried everything to get her to smile during rehearsal...we just got a very small fake smile. However when she's at home she ice skates in her socks all over the kitchen floor with the biggest smile ever!
Here she is in bad lighting with the biggest smile on the inside...

Some fun pictures

A nice picture of Tim and the girls in our back yard.
Abbie and her friend Kaitlin after playing in the mud hole, out in the woods behind the house.

Our dog Otto...What a good boy!

Hay who's this? It's just a wig we picked up for Hayley's show. Tim dared me to where it to work, but I chickened out. The girls at work got a good laugh at the picture though.
